As much as we’d like to deny it, the fact remains that more children are being abandoned by their biological parents nowadays. As much as we’d like to deny it, the fact also remains that more children are being abandoned by their temporary guardians nowadays.
It’s sad, isn’t it?
Children are supposed to be gifts from God. Children are supposed to be playing outside and enjoying their childhood with their friends. Children are supposed to be studying well and enjoying their youth with their family.
But here they are…most of them are being abandoned. Some are being maltreated on a daily basis, while others are being maltreaters on a daily basis.
This is where real adoption comes in. This is where the real purpose of adoption comes in.
Unlike others, people who adopt for the sake of providing love and care for abandoned children are those we can refer to as blessings from above.
These people can be that lawyer who was widowed a few years back or that doctor couple who never bore their own children. These people can also be that store owner who was abandoned when she was a child or that old couple who lost their own children.
These people come from all walks of life. These people also come from different backgrounds. No matter what they do and no matter who they are, however, they were able to realize the importance of every child’s soul in this world – an innocent soul that needs to be nurtured patiently, as well as to be nurtured unconditionally.
And that’s real adoption. And that’s the real purpose of adoption – to match these kinds of people to children who wanted nothing more but to be loved, to be cared for, and to be accepted.
